Compassionate Conversations with Buddhist Teacher David Shea
Sunday Mornings, 10:30am – Noon
Every living being has the same basic wish – to be happy and to avoid suffering. From this point of view, we are all exactly the same. Knowing this, it makes no sense to consider our own happiness and freedom from suffering more important than anyone else’s.
How can we use this understanding when conversing with others? How can practicing compassionate communication strengthen our relationships and create peace in our own mind?
Join us Sundays in October for answers to these questions and more as we delve into Buddhist practices that will teach us the power of a compassionate intention in relationships.
Class format:
20 minutes guided breathing meditation
40 minute teaching
10 minute guided meditation on the teaching
