Developing Inner Peace
General Program Class with Rod Hobson
Monday Evenings, 6:30pm – 7:45pm @BKBC
According to Buddha’s teachings, the purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort and so we will experience true happiness and relaxation. But if our mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy and relaxed even if we are living in the very best conditions.
In these classes we will explore the basic framework of Buddhist teachings and meditation, and how to incorporate them into our daily life to help solve our problems and improve our relationships. You do not have identify as Buddhist to attend or receive benefit from these classes – everyone can learn to meditate and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind.
