Embracing Impermanence and Change
with Gen Kelsang Menla
Saturday, February 3, 10:00am – 1:00pm
We’re all attached! There’s so much to get attached to and getting mentally stuck weighs us down physically and mentally and is the source of so much worry, stress, and dissatisfaction. Becoming less attached, learning to let go of the many things we are holding onto and finding a new sense of freedom and happiness is a gradual process and our biggest spiritual lesson.
Our Resident Teacher, Gen Menla, will guide us in meditations on impermanence and change that will begin to enable us to release ourselves from our attachments, discover a source of energy to create positive change within and become comfortable with even our own and others’ mortality. This retreat will be an inspiring and clarifying experience that sets you on a path of becoming healthier, joyful, and more balanced in everyday life. We invite you to start the New Year off with a spiritual focus.
Gen Menla will give practical and inspiring advice from Buddha’s teachings and his own experience of practicing the spiritual path for almost 25 years. Everyone welcome!
Is This For Me?
This half-day course is for anyone who wants to grow spiritually, improve their good heart, and better help those around them. No previous experience of meditation or knowledge of Buddhism is required.
Everyone welcome!
Gen Kelsang Menla was ordained as a Kadampa Buddhist monk in 2001 and has taught Kadampa Buddhism since that time. He brings a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
