How to Stop Overthinking
General Program Class with Rod Hobson
Monday Evenings, 6:30pm – 7:45pm @BKBC
We need to think, reflect, understand, make decisions and so on. Sometimes however, our thoughts become circular, negative, stuck, or unclear. We may have a tendency to overthink and find it difficult to ‘switch off’—which can be exhausting and unproductive.
Buddhist meditation can help us to balance our thoughts and feel more peaceful and positive as we navigate our busy, modern world with all its stress and stimulation. Join us to learn methods to gain mental clarity and freedom.
In this beginner-friendly series we will explore the following meditations:
Sep 12: How to stop thinking so much
Sep 19: Finding inner stillness
Sep 26: Letting go of attachment
20 minutes guided breathing meditation
35 minute teaching
10 minute guided meditation on the teaching
10 minutes discussion
