Timeless Wisdom: Ancient Advice for Modern Living
Sunday Mornings, 10:30am – Noon with Buddhist Teacher, David Shea
The problems of modern life can be stressful and overwhelming and at no time in the past have we faced the complexities of our modern times. Yet truth endures even in this age of virtual reality and provides a light for us to see through the haze of division, confusion and pain. Through taking to heart the wise advice of ancient Buddhist masters we can bring a peace, happiness and harmony into our lives that is healing and restorative.
You are invited to listen to and become inspired by the timeless wisdom of Buddhism shared by the 10th century Master Atisha in the short text, “Advice from Atisha’s Heart.” This advice provides a practical guide for peaceful living that is could be seen as even more relevant today than it was over 1,000 years ago.
“Since hatred is rife in these impure times, don the armor of patience, free from anger.”
