\nGen Kelsang Menla is the Resident Teacher at KMC Texas in Dallas. He was ordained as a Kadampa Bud dhist monk in 2001 and has taught Kadampa Buddhism since that time. He bri ngs a warm heart and joyful attitude to sharing Buddha’s teachings and the practice of meditation.
This is our d aily meditation practice at the center. Everyone is welcome. Just come a ny morning and we can help you.
\nHeart Jewel is a Guru yoga of Je Tsongkhapacombined with the condensed sadhana of his Dharma Protector a nd a 20 minute mediation on Lamrim.
\nThis puja includes two practices reveale d by the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri. The first is a special Guru yoga in whic h we visualize our Spiritual Guide as Je Tsongkhapa\, who himself is a man ifestation of Manjushri.
\nBy relying upon this practice\, we can pu rify negativity\, accumulate merit\, and receive blessings. In this way\, we will naturally accomplish all the realizations of the stages of the pat h of Sutra andTan tra\, and in particular we will attain a very special Dharma wisdom. p>\n
The second practice is a method for relying upon the Dharma Protect or Dorje Shugden. Through this\, we can overcome obstacles to our practice and create favourable conditions so that we can nurture and increase our Dharma realizations.
\nIf we rely upon the Dharma Protector Dorje Sh ugden sincerely\, our faith in Je Tsongkhapa will naturally increase and w e will easily gain experience of the pure Buddhadharmatransmitted directly to Je Tsongkh apa by the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri.
\nThese two practices are the ve ry essence of the New Kadampa Tradition of Mahayana Buddhism. If we practice them regularly and sincerely\, we will reap a rich harvest of pureDharma realizations\, and e ventually come to experience the supreme joy of full enlightenment.
\n< p>An extensive explanation of this sadhana can be found in the book Heart Jewel\, by Geshe Kelsa ng Gyatso.\n END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT UID:ai1ec-834@meditationinlubbock.org DTSTAMP:20240319T122746Z CATEGORIES;LANGUAGE=en-US:Foundation Program CONTACT:Bodhichitta KBC\; 18067872499\; info@meditationinlubbock.org DESCRIPTION:Foundation Program\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFoundation Program\nThe New H eart of Wisdom\nWednesdays\, 6:00pm – 8:00pm\n\n\n\nFoundation Program is a special opportunity to study and practice Buddha’s teaching in a in a mo re in depth formal study program.
